“LOUD, FAST AND MEAN ROCK THAT WILL MELT YOUR FACE OFF!!!”—BC
“These Guy’s are the kind of punk/rock/metal Texas is all about fast, loud and hard. The kind of shit you want drink, drive fast and fuck too. I don’t know about you or maybe I do, but that’s my kinda rock.”—Donny Paycheck–ZEKE
“This is one of the most appropriately named bands ever. The music is straight-up, riff driven rock/punk for whiskey drinkers and hot-rod racers. Nothing fancy here. The four tracks are all under three minutes and blaze by like a pick-up truck over an armadillo. Some nifty lead guitar on “Bleed” and “Running Hot” add flavor, but H&R barely has time to bother, as they beat and blast relentlessly forward. Fans of Motorhead might wanna check these guys out.” —(MB)-Lit Monthly Review of the 4 SONG’ER EP
“If your’re looking for some good TEXAS MUSIC, There is NO need to head to Austin where all the music biz transplants , vegans, and latte’s make you feel like you’re somewhere to the left of Hollywood. Instead, head up to the Northern planes of Texas near Dallas, Where Texans still act, think and ROCK like real Texans. There you will find HIT & RUN who’s mix of Motorhead, Black Flag, Roller and Speedealer inspired music will make you feel like you just got ran over by an 18 wheeler on some 110 degree desolate Texas interstate. When you peel yourself up from that blood soaked melting asphalt you will want it to come back and hit you again.
Lyrical content ranges from violence to Rock-n-Roll… to beating your ass again just for the hell of it. Hey, if you got a good formula why fuck with it?
The 4 SONG’ER CD features the late great B.C. on Bass( of Roller and Brotherhood of the Serpent) and is by far my favorite release of 2008. It did not leave my CD player for months on end. Their live show is just as brutal and not something to be missed.”
